At Trigony we are passionate about relaxation and exploring our hidden corner of south west Scotland with your four-legged friend and we are lucky enough to live in a place where those two things go hand in hand

We live in a very beautiful place and sharing it with our 2 and 4 legged guests over the past two decades has been great fun.

We are just outside the charming 18th Century Estate village of Thornhill with its interesting individual boutiques, craft & Antique shops, a hand made chocolate shop, and a very good INN.

Dining

The award winning restaurant at Trigony offers rustic cuisine and informal dining complemented by a range of fine wines, carefully chosen to blend with the food just one of the many reason customers return time after time. The seasonal country larder on Trigony's doorstep is amazing and they take full advantage of it all in their Restaurant from the wild garlic growing in the garden to the wild girolles in the woodland at the bottom of the drive, & the blackberry’s & wild raspberry’s growing along the single track road at the back of the Hotel.  Add to this fresh fish from the lovely little fishing port of Kirkcudbright, black face mutton from the southern uplands & high welfare Rose Veal from our local farm at Holywood they really do have an incredible local larder.
