On the shores of Loch Feochan situated on the historic burial route of the Kings' from Scone Palace to Iona, Knipoch is a house with a long history dating from 1592. Hotels in Scotland don't come much more steeped in history. It looks out at the sun setting over the hills of Lorn which rise beyond the loch. Nowadays it is a family-run luxury hotel with an emphasis on good food for which it has received various awards. Wines also feature strongly with a 360-bin list of personally selected wines.
The well-stocked bar includes a large range of malt whiskies, some distilled before the war. Each bedroom is elegantly furnished and includes radio, television, telephone and a private bathroom with bath and shower. Tea making facilities in all rooms.
In general it is one of the hotels in Scotland that appeals to the more discriminating traveller. It is an ideal centre for touring Argyll.
