Highland Cottage is a small, purpose-built country-house-in-the-town hotel located in Tobermory, the unofficial capital of the beautiful island of Mull and offers a variety of short breaks in Scotland. Set within the relative tranquillity of the upper town's conservation area, Highland Cottage is, nevertheless, just a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Main Street with its Fisherman's Pier where local boats still land their catches on a regular basis.
There are three distinct elements which come together at Highland Cottage to give it its particular character - award-winning food, comfortable, well-appointed accommodation and genuine home-spun hospitality. Our guests are guests in our home and are never room numbers. We do enjoy looking after, and spending time with, all of our guests.........honestly!!
Highland Cottage is also a quite genuine example of a family-run hotel offering individual short breaks in Scotland. We are totally hands-on with Jo in charge in the kitchen and husband Dave as front-of-house. When not there, we close! And that means never between mid-March and late-October. November to February inclusive, we re-charge the batteries and make our plans for yet another busy season......
