The Royal Burgh of Peebles is a charming town, ideal for shopping, browsing or enjoying a stroll along the banks of the River Tweed. You may wish to walk into the surrounding hills, play golf, fish or explore the turbulent history of the Borders with visits to our ancient houses and abbey ruins. You may wish to visit Edinburgh and this is the ideal base with frequent bus services.
You may, or course, just wish to sit back by the log fire in the library, relax and unwind before enjoying a meal prepared with the very best of Scottish produce. Castle Venlaw is one of the few hotels in Scotland to have a 2 rosette restaurant. Most of our rooms are large and enjoy spectacular views across the countryside.
