3 day Fishing Break in Argyll

Prices from £975 per person based on a three night stay.

Be the one that got away and experience fishing in Argyll. You will fish for salmon in the river Awe, a beautiful West Coast salmon river, which enjoys healthy salmon runs. See a short video of a salmon being caught on the Awe here.

The second day will be a quest for monster pike in Loch Awe, arguably one of UK's premier pike venues, you will have state of the art electronic alarmed dead baiting equipment and high quality lures from Sweden.

On the final day you will enjoy a sea fishing trip around the shores of Loch Etive and the coastal region of Oban aboard a traditional sea fishing boat with a highly experienced skipper Donald McLean. A mixture of sea fish can be caught and taken back to the kitchen at Barcaldine.

You will be accompanied by an Orvis endorsed guide and all your fishing tackle and clothing will be supplied. In addition we can prepare hot gourmet lunches al-fresco. Photographs of your trip will be taken and at the end of the trip you will receive a DVD with all the memories captured.

In March 2010 Barcaldine House had its first AA inspection and was awarded the highest possible rating (on first inspection) of two AA Rosettes. Head chef Craig Ferguson, (nominated for rising star Chef of the Year 2010) will also teach you how to prepare and cook your catch and it can be served at the dinner table with a delicious glass of wine from our extensive list.

Come and enjoy the warmth and hospitality at Barcaldine House perfectly located to sample the exciting fishing in the area.
