Ardanaiseig is well established as a food lover’s hotel. Acclaimed Chef de Cuisine and Medaille D’Or winner Gary Goldie, creates innovative dishes with endless passion and flair using the finest ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible. Now, in response to ongoing demand, guests with an interest in cooking can now book time with Gary for private cookery lessons and demonstrations.
Ardanaiseig can be reserved for exclusive use and is the perfect venue for a small intimate wedding. We have 16 bedrooms and can accommodate 36 guests. We are proud to have been voted the Intimate Wedding Hotel of the Year in both 2007
and 2008.
Whatever the nature of your visit, you can expect personal service of the highest possible standard.
Even the journey to Ardanaiseig is a delight. Arrive by helicopter, train, seaplane, car, bicycle or on foot...but perhaps the best approach is by steamboat.

FROM GLASGOW (90 miles) Take the M8 towards Greenock, exiting at junction 30 for the Erskine Bridge. Exit the bridge onto the A82 towards Loch Lomond and Tarbet. At Tarbet take the A83 to Inverary then the A819 to Loch Awe. At the T-junction at Loch Awe take a left onto the A85 and continue through the village of Loch Awe and Bridge of Awe until reaching Taynuilt. In Taynuilt turn left onto the B845 – a 6 mile single track road leading to the hamlet of Kilchrennan. Turn left at the Kilchrennan Inn onto a single track road. After 3.8 miles you will reach Ardanaiseig. FROM EDINBURGH (115 miles) Follow the M9 past the Stirling bypass. Take the A84 at Junction 10 through Doune and Callendar towards Strathyre, Lochearnhead. Keep on the A85 towards Oban, through Crianlarich and Tyndrum to Taynuilt. In Taynuilt turn left onto the B845 – a 6 mile single track road leading to the hamlet of Kilchrennan. Turn left at the Kilchrennan Inn onto a single track road. After 3.8 miles you will reach Ardanaiseig.
