The Four Seasons a 2AA red Rosette restaurant has a great reputation for Traditional Sunday Roast Lunches which we serve all year.  We have taken Sundays back to being ‘special’ and our customers love it. As Sunday Lunch has become popular again, our Afternoon Teas (with home made preserve and fresh cream) are divine and we advise booking in advance for a weekend service.  

During October, we host Chocolate Week and celebrate with a very indulgent Chocolate menu.

Blackaddie House Hotel

Location: Sanquhar

Food plays a very important part of the make-up of Blackaddie, Ian, owner and chef, has held a Michelin Star for many years in his previous restaurants so you can imagine that the food at Blackaddie Country House Hotel is going to be some of the best in Scotland.

Chef For a Day – How on earth do they do that?


Come and try this unique experience, it is hard work but fun and not something you will find anywhere else.

You will join Ian and his team in the kitchen of Blackaddie for the whole day, from the menu planning, preparation and on to service.

This is very much a hands on day not a normal cookery school but working in a real kitchen, you will learn what goes on in a working restaurant from start to finish – a wonderful experience for budding chefs!
